Throughout the warm months highs here at Smith Reservoir reach the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Smith Reservoir descend into the 10's. Dry warm beds await       you at Super 8 Motel - Brighton, and lots of folks from Denver-Aurora come here. This lake is so wonderful. A good location to camp here at Smith Reservoir is Barr Lake RV Park, and splendid water scenery is available at Smith Irrigation Dam close to Smith Reservoir. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Smith Reservoir. Camping is available at Denver Meadows Mobile Park, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then,                  we recommend South Platte River. It is very dried out here at Smith Reservoir mostly; the wettest month of the year is mostly May, that's the one that rains the most; January is when it's the driest.
