This lake is so wonderful. Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a nice site to get some rest, and there are plenty of people from Durango here. That right there is loads of enjoyable stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Bear Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit, and striking scenery and perfect skiing is what you acquire at Durango. Any time is a delightful time at Smith Lake if you have a thing

| | about the outdoors. Don't leave Smith Lake without first going for a hike along the Circle Trail, and camping at Haviland Lake Campground is always a great experience. Spud Hill is a peak you can make out from Smith Lake, and if you need a place to stay Lodge at Tamarron is a great choice. Smith Lake gets a typical amount of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while June is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Be careful | |

This lake is so wonderful. For you golfers we recommend nearby Dalton Ranch Golf Club, and a splendid site close by is Bell Canyon. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Keeler Dam is worth
stopping at if you're here, and if you come at the right time of year, Canyon Creek offers some delightful whitewater. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a great time. Not far from Smith Lake, you'll come across
Stratton Lake which is a gorgeous lake, and going for a hike on the Goodhope Stock Driveway is always a good adventure. This place is unbeatable, just look at all the exciting stuff to do close to Smith Lake. Go for a hike on the
Highline Trail, and Pinkerton Hot Springs is a splendid local attraction. For the duration of the months of summer at Smith Lake temperatures are generally in the 70's, and the nighttime is a tad colder of course, typically in
the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Smith Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There are other places here than Smith Lake, for example Shalona Lake, and Smith Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Durango Koa Kampground is a great local campground.
