    Many people like to go to Smith Lake. Throughout the warm months highs here at Smith Lake get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 30's. All through the wintertime the highs are typically in the 30's while Smith Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. For you golfers we recommend close by Dalton Ranch Golf Club; a pretty lake like Stratton Lake is a wonderful spot to take a look at. And that's not all the things  
   to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. A delightful spot near Smith Lake is Bell Canyon, and camping at Durango Koa Kampground is always a perfect experience.
You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Smith Lake. Keeler Dam is an attention-grabbing thing to check out; hiking along the Highline Trail is tremendous fun. Camping is available at Haviland Lake Campground, and dry warm beds await you at Lodge at Tamarron. Smith
 
               Lake is a good location of typical rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain, and June is when it's the driest.
This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Smith Lake, you could check out Bear Creek, and Pinkerton Hot Springs is a beautiful place to stop by while you're at Smith Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Do stop by Shalona Lake next to Smith Lake, it's a delightful lake, and Tamarron Resort is a good location to get some rest. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. At Smith Lake you can make out Spud Hill; going for a hike along the Circle Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity.
The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling near Smith Lake is Canyon Creek, and there are plenty of folks from Durango here. This lake is so wonderful.
And if that's not sufficient there's a load more cool stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Skiing at Durango is one of those things you just have to do, and do take a hike on the Goodhope Stock Driveway. If you want a good time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Smith Lake. You can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Hesperus Ski Center; you can run the rapids of Animas River.
