A visit to Slide Lake is always a good idea. The Main Range Trail is a delightful hiking trail in the vicinity of Slide Lake; camping is available at Mary Queen Campground. Slide Lake is a location that is rather dehydrated mostly; most of the rain falls during August; February is the month with the least moisture. And that's not all you can do here at Slide Lake. The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch is a glorious site to get some rest; Eagle River is a brilliant

Near Slide Lake you hit upon the Fall Creek Trail which is a great hiking trail, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Vail is reasonably near. The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. Yep, outdoors exciting things truly is plentiful here in the Sawatch Range. a long day outdoors Silver King Inn is a good location to spend a night or two, and Deckers Lake is a pleasant lake close by. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. Going for a hike on the Half Moon Trail
is always a great adventure; on a wonderful day you get a great panorama of Homestake Peak from Slide Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The snow is brilliant at Ski Cooper, and you can run the rapids of Homestake Creek. For the
duration of the warm days of summer here at Slide Lake, high temperatures usually reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 30's while
Slide Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. At Slide Lake you always meet someone from Edwards.
