This place, the Park Range, has so much outdoors cool things. There are other locations here than Slide Lake, for example Roxy Ann Lake, and going for a hike along the Rainbow Lake Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. Around Slide Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; December is the wettest month with most snow; the driest of the months is       August. So much cool stuff to do in the Park Range, not sufficient time. You can make out Mount Ethel from Slide Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Winterwood Townhomes. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Howelsen Hill and strap some skis to your feet. Not far from Slide Lake, you'll stumble on Upper Slide Lake which is a pretty lake; if you need a spot to stay Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful. Steamboat                  is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and on a great day you can take a hike along the Crags Trail. During the warm months, highs generally are in the 80's at Slide Lake. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's, and nighttime lows at Slide Lake during the winter frequently sink into the-10's. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area right next door to Slide Lake has to offer. There's so much to do here at Slide Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Summit Lake Campground is a tremendous spot for that, and there's whitewater on Elk River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. Slide Lake is a beautiful lake in the Park Range.
