There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Beaver Creek; Fulford Cave Campground is a perfect local campground. Slide Lake is located in the Sawatch Range. Be careful coming to the Sawatch Range, you might not ever wanna return home again. Good hiking is available along the New York Mountain Trail; a wonderful place like Gold Dust Basin here at Slide Lake is too fine to miss. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby       lakes? Sure, Nolan Lake is near Slide Lake, and there's wonderful hiking along the Lake Charles Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the neighborhood of Slide Lake. Lots of folks from Edwards come to Slide Lake, and Slide Lake is a splendid place to visit for more than one day, Yeoman Park Campground is a splendid place to camp nearby. What a location this is for outdoors folks. Hit the slopes at Vail in the neighborhood. All through the                  warmest time of the year highs here at Slide Lake get into the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Slide Lake. This lake is so wonderful. If you wish for a little side tour, try Bowman Gulch; drift down the rapids of Eagle River in a kayak. Looking for something next to Slide Lake? Polar Star Lake is in the vicinity, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Fryingpan River. Slide Lake is pretty dried out regularly; July is the month that gets the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. That right there is lots of entertaining things already but it goes on, the Sawatch Range has it all. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Slide Lake; Lake Creek Trail is a great local trail, and a magnificent close by hotel is Inn And Suites At Riverwalk.
