Slesinger Reservoir is always a pleasure to visit. It is very dried out here at Slesinger Reservoir mostly; the month with most of the rain is August; June on the other hand is the driest. Yeah, come up here to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains for a great time. Take a little visit to Castle Creek while you're here at Slesinger Reservoir, and a glorious close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co. If you came for an overnight stay Acres Green RV Park

| | is a good location to camp, and a lake nearby is Crescent Lake. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Whitewater paddling is great on San Juan River - East Fork, and you can go for a hike on the Leche Creek Trail. Why not camp at Blanco River Campground while you're here at Slesinger Reservoir, and there are great places to discover along the V Rock Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. This | |

Ridge Lodge is a nice place to spend a night or two. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Slesinger Reservoir with nighttime lows in the 40's. Highs during the wintertime are commonly in the 30's, and overnight lows through the
wintertime for Slesinger Reservoir tend to be in the 0's. All the outdoors enjoyable stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains will keep you coming back time and again. Get soaked paddling on Navajo River; don't leave Slesinger Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Fish Lake Trail.

San Juan River - East Fork
 | 11 miles away I am a very close relative of the land owners for a significant portion of the East Fork. There is a couple of miles of river that is private land. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts. Please respect the property line and stay on public lands. Other than that enjoy your time in CO and happy rafting.... |
