If you want a wonderful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Slesinger Dam is a delightful place right next door to Slesinger Reservoir, and Castle Creek is in the neighborhood of Slesinger Reservoir and is always a diversion to stop by. There are other spots here than Slesinger Reservoir, for example Crescent Lake, and do take a hike on the V Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. OakRidge Lodge is a good place to get

A brilliant place for whitewater paddling close to Slesinger Reservoir is Navajo River, and a splendid place to camp here at Slesinger Reservoir is Acres Green RV Park. A magnificent close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express PAGOSA SPRINGS, and camping at Blanco River Campground is always a wonderful experience. San Juan River - East Fork
 | 11 miles away I am a very close relative of the land owners for a significant portion of the East Fork. There is a couple of miles of river that is private land. Using the river or the land without authorization is tresspassing and is illegal. I am by no means giving you permission to use it. I am simply stating the facts.
