Slesinger Reservoir is frequently a reasonably arid site; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is June. There are other places here than Slesinger Reservoir, for example Opal Lake, and don't leave Slesinger Reservoir without first going for a hike along the V Rock Trail. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable       stuff in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long day outdoors Oak Ridge Lodge is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and of course Castle Creek flows through this neighborhood. Just can't get enough of Slesinger Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Juan River - East Fork, and camping is available at Blanco River Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Slesinger Reservoir is located in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. All through the                  months of summer at Slesinger Reservoir highs are ordinarily in the 80's. Once the sun is down it drops down to the 40's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's; after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Slesinger Reservoir dip into the 0's. That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. Why not camp at Acres Green RV Park if you're here at Slesinger Reservoir; great hiking is available along the Leche Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You can take a little tour to Slesinger Dam since you're here at Slesinger Reservoir, and there's delightful hiking along the Fish Lake Trail.
