Slesinger Dam is a delightful place right next door to Slesinger Reservoir, and Castle Creek is in the neighborhood of Slesinger Reservoir and is always a diversion to stop by. There are other spots here than Slesinger Reservoir, for example Crescent Lake, and do take a hike on the V Rock Trail. This lake is so wonderful. OakRidge Lodge is a good place to get       some rest. This lake is so wonderful. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling close to Slesinger Reservoir is Navajo River, and a splendid place to camp here at Slesinger Reservoir is Acres Green RV Park. A magnificent close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express PAGOSA SPRINGS, and camping at Blanco River Campground is always a wonderful experience. Around Slesinger Reservoir you don’t get a lot of rain; August is when you get the most rain here; the driest                  of the months is June. These mountains rock, just look at all the fun things to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Lakes are such serene places, why not go to Opal Lake close to Slesinger Reservoir; hiking along the Leche Creek Trail is delightful fun. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Through the long summer days here at Slesinger Reservoir, high temperatures mostly get into the 80's while night lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Slesinger Reservoir night low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's.
