Slate Lake is a lake worth visiting. Slate Lake is one of the lakes here in the Park Range. But wait, there's more amusing things to do in the Park Range. Going for a hike on the Slate Creek Trail is always a great adventure; there's whitewater on Blue River for all you thrill seekers. This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Vail in the vicinity; if you need a location to stay Silverthorne Days Inn is a nice choice.

| | Gore Range Trail, and if you're here, you could also stop by wonderful Upper Slate Lake. Slate Lake is a location that is reasonably dry ordinarily; the month with most of the rain is July, and the driest of the months is February. Any time is a nice time at Slate Lake if you like the outdoors. A nice nearby hotel is Vail Racquet Club Condominiums, and you can go for a hike on the Lost Lake Trail.

day is on the slopes of nearby Copper Mountain. During the days of summer highs here at Slate Lake reach the 70's while night lows are usually in the 40's. All through the winter highs are ordinarily in the 20's, and nighttime lows
at Slate Lake during the winter commonly plunge into the 0's. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Park Range. You can run the rapids of Blue River near Slate Lake, and camping at Slate Lake is pleasant fun, Prairie Point Campground
is a pleasant local campground.
At Slate Lake you always meet someone from Silverthorne, and if you came for an overnight stay Davis Springs Campground is a great location to camp.
