Sioux Lake is one of the lakes here in the Sawatch Range. Summertime highs at Sioux Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 40's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sioux Lake.       So many enjoyable things to do here in the Sawatch Range, too fine to be true. VillaHotel Bears Creek is a splendid spot to get some rest, and if you get bored of Sioux Lake you could also have a look at close by Scott Lake. Man, is there lots of exciting stuff to do in the Sawatch Range. There is a wonderful hiking trail next to Sioux Lake called the Highline Trail, and if you're here, you might as well go to Deadman Gulch. Having a glorious time at Sioux                  Lake is easy. Camping is available at Portal Campground, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Sawyer Lake Trail. Very delightful scenery and tremendous skiing is what you get at Aspen Highlands, and on a lovely day you get a good panorama of Williams Mountains from Sioux Lake. A pleasant place to camp here at Sioux Lake is Lost Man Campground; whitewater paddling is delightful on Fryingpan River. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Aspen Mountain if you're here, and the Chapman Trail is a glorious hiking trail nearby. Sioux Lake is usually a quite dried up spot; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest of the months is February. This lake is so wonderful. Looking for some flowing water?
