Do stop by Sioux Lake while you're in this part of Colorado. Sioux Lake gets very little rainfall; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; the driest month is February. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Sawatch Range. The top of Williams Mountains is easily distinguished from Sioux Lake, and needless to say Jack Creek is a lovely stream that is worth a visit. And if that's not sufficient, there's

Stay the night at Lost Man Campground, and the Chapman Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Sioux Lake, you'll stumble on Deadman Lake which is a picturesque lake. There's so much to do here at Sioux Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Portal Campground is a magnificent place for that. If only every location had this much outdoors amusing things, what a great planet it would be. | |

There are some perfect whitewater spots on Fryingpan River, and the principal trait in the vicinity is the Williams Mountains.
Sioux Lake is a beautiful lake in the Sawatch Range. Summertime highs at Sioux Lake typically tend
to be in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Sioux Lake. The snow is splendid at Aspen Mountain; the best way to spend a winter day
is on the slopes of nearby Aspen Highlands.
So much fun stuff to do in the Sawatch Range, not enough time. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Sioux Lake; Sawyer Lake Trail is a wonderful local trail; a good nearby hotel is
VillaHotel Bears Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Highline Trail, and if you come at the right time of year, Lake Creek offers some delightful whitewater. If you need a site to stay The Alpenblick By Aspen Lodging Company is a pleasant choice, and you could always explore Deadman Gulch.
