Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Silver Lake has to offer, you can camp at South Mineral Campground; hiking along the Brooklyn Trail is tremendous fun. And that's not all you can do here at Silver Lake. From Silver Lake you obtain a tremendous view of Ballard Mountain, and you can run the       rapids of Mineral Creek - South. Silver Lake is one of the lakes here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. During the summertime highs here at Silver Lake reach the 80's. All through the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Silver Lake are in the 10's. Silver Lake is a location that is quite waterless typically; most of the rain falls all through July, and the driest month                  is June. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area in the vicinity of Silver Lake has to offer. Ice House is a great location to get some rest, and Lime Creek is a good whitewater spot close by. If the weather is great here at Silver Lake, you can go for a hike along the Greyhound Pack Trail; dry warm beds await you at Ice House Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Telluride, and do go to Blue Lake, it's a lovely lake. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining stuff the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has to offer. A trip to Bridal Veil Basin invigorates the soul. Why not go to Silver Lake Dam since you're here; going for a hike along the Deep Creek Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Visit Bear Creek since you're here at Silver Lake, and don't leave Silver Lake without first paying a visit to Bridal Veil Falls. An afternoon playing golf at Telluride Ski & Golf Club is always a delight, and the snow is great at Silverton. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains is so good! There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Sunshine Campground is a pleasant location for that, and Owl Gulch is another brilliant place to take a look at nearby.   Ice House Lodge, Telluride 2 miles away The Ice House Lodge is the best place to stay in Telluride summer or winter seasons.
