Silver Lake is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Silverton is right next door to Silver Lake, and do check out Silver Lake Dam since you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Ice House Lodge is a great place to get some rest, and Silver Lake is a good place to visit for more than one day,       South Mineral Campground is a good place to camp nearby. Be careful coming to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. Stay the night at Sunshine Campground, and needless to say Bear Creek flows through this area. Silver Lake is right by the Deep Creek Trail; dry warm beds await you at Camels Garden. Summer at Silver Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's.                  For the period of the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's; overnight lows during the wintertime for Silver Lake tend to be in the 10's. That right there is heaps of fun stuff already but it goes on, the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains has it all. Playing golf is lots of fun at Telluride Ski & Golf Club, and you'll find a delightful lake called Silver Lake. This place, Silver Lake, it clearly has so much outdoors amusing stuff. A day on the slopes of Telluride is just what you need, and at Silver Lake you can see Ballard Mountain. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Brooklyn Trail, and since you're here, you could also take a look at delightful Lewis Lake. Yeah, come up here to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains for a fine time. A perfect location to go to near Silver Lake is Owl Gulch, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Bridal Veil Falls. A pleasant trip to Bridal Veil Basin is a great way to spend an afternoon, and if you come at the right time of year, Mineral Creek - South offers some fine whitewater. But wait, there's more to do right next door to Silver Lake. Take a hike on the Greyhound Pack Trail; there are some splendid whitewater spots on Lime Creek.
