All the outdoors amusing stuff in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. The snow is tremendous at Silverton, and dry warm beds await you at Ice House Lodge. This lake is so wonderful. Silver Lake Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Silver Lake; Greyhound Pack Trail is a good local trail. If you came for an overnight stay South       Mineral Campground is a glorious site to camp; glorious hiking is available along the Deep Creek Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Mineral Creek - South is so much fun; the top of Ajax Peak is easily made out from Silver Lake. But wait, there's more fun stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Telluride, and Sunshine Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. So much                  cool stuff to do here at Silver Lake, too splendid to be true. Float down the rapids of Lime Creek in a kayak, and there are other locations here than Silver Lake, for example Lewis Lake. For the period of the warmest time of the year here at Silver Lake, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Summer night lows descend down to the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Silver Lake dipping down into the 10's through winter nights. Don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Brooklyn Trail, and if you're here at Silver Lake it's a delightful idea to have a look at Bridal Veil Basin. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby Owl Gulch is a great place to go if you're at Silver Lake, and Bridal Veil Falls is an inspiring site to pop by during your stay. Yeah, come here to Silver Lake for a glorious time. If you need a site to stay Camels Garden is a great choice, and lakes are such peaceful spots, why not stop by Bullion King Lake. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. A quick tour to Bear Creek in the vicinity of Silver Lake is a great idea, and a round of golf at nearby Telluride Ski & Golf Club is a fine way to kill some time. This lake is one of the great places here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
