Silver Lake is a lake worth visiting. Silver Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains. Box Canyon Lodge and Hot Springs Ouray is a great spot to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. Silverton Lakes Campground is a fine campground here, and there's whitewater on Animas River for all you adrenaline kick people. High temperatures at Silver Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's.

| | The winter comes with highs in the 30's; overnight lows at Silver Lake during the wintertime regularly plunge into the 0's. Whohoo, so much entertaining stuff in one place! The San Juan Mountains is great! Silver Lake is a good spot to camp, Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals is a good spot, and there are some good whitewater spots on Mineral Creek - South. Silver Lake? Blair Lake is nearby, and there's nice hiking along the Brooklyn Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Kendall Mountain is a perfect local ski area, and you can go for a hike on the Whitehead Trail. Don’t forget to stop
by Arrastra Basin if you're here at Silver Lake, and don't leave Silver Lake without first going for a hike along the Deer Park Trail. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the San Juan Mountains has to offer.
The skiing at Silverton is great, and if you need a place to stay Best Western Twin Peaks Motel is a delightful choice. Some close by water includes Mountaineer Creek, and Hazelton Mountain is a peak you can catch a sight of from
Silver Lake. Silver Lake gets very little precipitation; most of the rain falls through August; June is when it's the driest.
