There's whitewater on Boulder Creek for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and unsurprisingly, this is a fine region for folks who like lakes, Rainbow Lakes is a lake nearby. Just can't get enough of Silver Lake. There's so much to do here at Silver Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Mitchell Creek Campground is a magnificent place for that, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Jean       Lunning Trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Berthoud Pass, and you can have a magnificent hiking adventure along the Niwot Ridge Trail. And if that's not sufficient there's heaps more cool things to do in the Front Range. Pomeroy Mountain is a peak you can make out from Silver Lake; after a long day outdoors Stone Mountain Lodge And Cabins is a splendid site to spend a night or two. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Silver Lake, so little time.                  Best Western Lodge At Nederland is a glorious spot to get some rest. Silver Lake is right next door to Silver Lake Dam which is a pretty site undeniably worth taking a look at, and hiking along the Rainbow Lakes Trail is pleasant fun. Summertime at Silver Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. During the winter highs are in the 20's while Silver Lake nighttime low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are tremendous; Island Lake is a lake that's near Silver Lake, and it's a splendid idea to stop at Horseshoe Creek. Now, you may believe that's heaps but there's even more amusing things to do here in the Front Range. Get your pulse rate up on the great whitewater of Boulder Creek - South, and the slopes of Winter Park are so inviting nobody can resist. Not much rainfall falls here at Silver Lake; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is frequently the driest month. This lake is so wonderful.
