Go to Silesca Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. There's no way somebody can get bored here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Canyon Trails Inn. Near Silesca Pond you come across the Coal Bank Trail which is a delightful hiking trail; don't forget to take a glorious little visit to Bear Creek. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Antone Spring Campground since you're here at Silesca Pond, and you can run the rapids of Uncompahgre

Not much precipitation falls here at Silesca Pond; October is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting things near Silesca Pond. There is a glorious hiking trail in the vicinity of Silesca Pond called the Paradox Road, and Quality Inn & Suites is a good site to get some rest. So much cool stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, not enough time. | |

A great place to camp here at Silesca Pond is Iron Spring Campground; the wonderful people of Montrose like to hang out close by.
Through the summer highs here at Silesca Pond get into the 90's. Once the sun is down it sinks down
to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's; overnight lows in the 10's for Silesca Pond. There's whitewater on San Miguel River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Dry Creek Trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
