     If you want a tremendous time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Near Silesca Pond you find the Dry Creek Trail which is a good hiking trail, and if you need a site to stay Hampton Inn Montrose is a tremendous choice. Summertime brings highs in the 90's to Silesca Pond. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. During the winter highs are typically in the 30's with temperatures at Silesca Pond dipping down into the 10's all  
   through winter nights. These mountains rock, just explore all the entertaining things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. The fine people of Montrose like to hang out nearby, and not far from Silesca Pond you'll hit upon Olathe Reservoir Number 1 which is a striking lake.
This lake is located in the wonderful Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Going for a hike on the Paradox Road is always a perfect adventure, and a delightful nearby hotel is Quality Inn
 
               & Suites. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Olathe Reservoir Number 2 is in close proximity; swing by Bear Creek it's a great place to check out.
This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Uncompahgre River offers some pleasant whitewater. Silesca Pond in fact is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Silesca Pond is a splendid spot to visit for more than one day, Antone Spring Campground is a splendid spot to camp nearby, and get yourself into a kayak and hit San Miguel River. There are wonderful places to look at along the Coal Bank Trail; Iron Spring Campground is a tremendous local campground.
Silesca Pond is a location that is relatively dried up frequently; of all the months in a year October is the one with the most rain while February is ordinarily the driest month.
