Shoestring Lake gets very little rain; December is the wettest month with most snow while August is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Having a good time in the Park Range is trouble-free. Steamboat is a fine local ski area, and there are delightful sites to explore along the Percy Lake Trail. Yep, outdoors cool stuff to do are truly bountiful here at Shoestring Lake. Shoestring Lake       is one of the lakes here in the Park Range. There are some great whitewater spots on Elk River, and you get a delightful view of Round Mountain from here. After a long day outdoors Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a brilliant spot to spend a night or two, and Buffalo Pass is a magnificent site to check out. So many exciting things in the vicinity of Shoestring Lake, simply astonishing. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore                  nearby Jonah Lake, and going for a hike on the Newcomb Creek Trail is always a good adventure. A good location to camp here at Shoestring Lake is Granite Campground, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Haymaker Golf Course is around here. This lake is so wonderful. Winterwood Townhomes is a magnificent location to get some rest, and Shoestring Lake is good enough to spend more than a day at, Summit Lake Campground is a good local campground. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the Park Range has to offer. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Howelsen Hill; of course, this is a glorious region for folks who like lakes, Whale Lake is a lake in the neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Shoestring Lake without first going for a hike along the Rainbow Lake Trail, and there's a nice forest called Routt National Forest. During the months of summer highs here at Shoestring Lake get into the 80's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 40's.
