Sheldon Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. You could also check out Lindenmeier Lake while you're here at Sheldon Lake; it's close by, and camping is available at Pawnee - Arapaho National Forest. Sheldon Lake is regularly a relatively dried up site; most of the rain falls throughout May, and the driest month is February. Why not camp at Arapaho Bay - Arapaho National Forest if you're here at Sheldon Lake, and if you're
going to from Fort Collins-Loveland, you won't be the only one. Nearby lakes? Sure, Sherwood Reservoir is in the neighborhood of Sheldon Lake, and paddling on Cache La Poudre River is so much fun.
At Sheldon Lake through the summertime
months highs are in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's; during the dark hours in the wintertime at Sheldon Lake temperatures fall to the 10's.
