If you like lakes and you're in this part of Colorado you can check out Shearer Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Wade Trail, and camping at Shearer Reservoir is great fun, Bearadise Cabins and RV Park is a great local campground. There are great places to look at along the Black Hills Trail, and dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Walensburg. Whohoo, so much enjoyable stuff in one place! The Sangre De Cristo Mountains

| | is peerless! Do pop by Shearer Dam if you're here at Shearer Reservoir, and a beautiful lake like Daigre Reservoir is a splendid spot to take a look at.
Now, you may think that's lots but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Don't leave Shearer Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Wahatoya Trail; a round of golf at nearby Grandote Peaks Golf Course is a brilliant way to kill some time. Not much rainfall falls
here at Shearer Reservoir; during August this area sees the most rain; January is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. What would winter be without some skiing at Eldora. That right there is lots already, but it goes on;
Shearer Reservoir has it all. A quick spree to Wahatoya Creek in the neighborhood of Shearer Reservoir is a brilliant idea; Rio Cucharas Inn And Restaurant is a splendid place to get some rest.
