There's so much to do here at Shearer Reservoir that you need       to camp here for a while, Circle The wagons RV Park is a nice location for that. All the outdoors exciting stuff next to Shearer Reservoir will keep you coming back again and again. There is a great hiking trail near Shearer Reservoir called the Wade Trail, and hey, Wahatoya Creek is a great local stream. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Grandote Peaks Golf Course is always a bliss; dry warm beds await you at Knights Inn Walensburg. This                  lake is so wonderful. The snow is pleasant at Eldora, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can have a look at Shearer Dam. Shearer Reservoir is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. And if that's not enough there's plenty more amusing stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. On a magnificent day at Shearer Reservoir you can take a hike along the Black Hills Trail; the Wahatoya Trail is a good hiking trail nearby. Shearer Reservoir gets very little rain; all through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and the driest month is January. Just can't get enough of the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
