Shavetail Reservoir

There's a good grade I-II bit of whitewater close by on White River, the 95-mile-from-start-to-finish Rangely to Green River portion. If you are an proficient whitewater boater, you should in all probability look for a different bit of whitewater than this bit of White River to kayak. Don't disregard to check current conditions previous to going raft paddling to ensure your safety. This lake is so wonderful. Going to Highline State Park near Shavetail Reservoir
is a wonderful thing to do, and the smiling folks of Rangely like to hang out nearby. If you need a site to stay Blue Mountain Inn And Suites is a great choice, and Shavetail Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Kenney Reservoir - RBWCD is a good local campground.
