If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Shalona Lake. All through the warm months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Shalona Lake while nighttime lows are mostly in the 30's. not far at all. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains. Man, is there lots of entertaining things to do in the San Juan Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Tamarron Resort, and glide down the rapids of Animas River
in a kayak.
You feel that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Don't leave Shalona Lake without first going for a hike along the Circle Trail; Mitchell Lakes is a swamp close to Shalona Lake. If you need a place to stay Cascade
Village is a perfect choice, and some of the water close by flows, like Bear Creek. Keeler Dam is picturesque and it's close to Shalona Lake; a wonderful location to camp here at Shalona Lake is Haviland Lake Campground.
Shalona
Lake gets a normal amount of precipitation; through August this area sees the most rain; the driest month is June. You clearly ought to have a thing about Shalona Lake. There are great spots to discover along the Highline Trail; if
you like skiing, you're in luck; Durango is reasonably near. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike on the Goodhope Stock Driveway is always a wonderful adventure, and if you yearn for a little side spree, try Bell Canyon.
