    Beautiful Seven Sisters Lakes has much to offer visitors. This lake is so wonderful. If you come at the right time of year, Homestake Creek offers some magnificent whitewater, and hiking along the Main Range Trail is pleasant fun. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors cool things the Sawatch Range has to offer. A great close by hotel is The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch; Cleveland Lake is a fine lake nearby. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good  
   time here at Seven Sisters Lakes. Float down the rapids of Eagle River in a kayak. Lakes? Sure, Hunky Dory Lake is close by.
If you want a little side journey, try Fall Creek Pass; the summit of Mount of the Holy Cross can be seen from Seven Sisters Lakes. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Half Moon Campground is always a great experience, and do take a hike on the Fall Creek Trail. Gotta ski! Beaver Creek is a great place to do that; Seven Sisters

Having a pleasant time in the Sawatch Range is simple. Very lovely scenery and delightful skiing is what you get at Vail, and Christie Lodge is a nice spot to get some rest. The warmest time of the year at Seven Sisters Lakes comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Through the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Seven Sisters Lakes. This lake is one of the great places here in the Sawatch Range.
Now, you may think that's a lot but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Seven Sisters Lakes. Seven Sisters Lakes is pretty waterless typically; the month of July is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. Seven Sisters Lakes is magnificent enough to spend more than a day at, Gold Park Campground is a magnificent local campground, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Edwards here.

We had a great time hiking to Upper Piney Lake over 4th of July weekend, 2006. Although the views are out of this world, the hike will take everything out of you that you've got. I would highly recommend this hike. Make sure you have everything you need for AT LEAST 2 days. The hike to Upper Piney will take 8 hours (all up hill)...But only 4 hours to get back to Piney River Ranch....
