If you are in this part of Colorado make sure to pay a visit to Sellar Lake. And if that's not enough there's plenty more enjoyable things to do in the Sawatch Range. Hiking along the Chapman Trail is glorious fun. There's so much to do here at Sellar Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Elk Wallow Campground is a good location for that. | | a splendid site to spend a night or two. Just can't get enough of Sellar Lake. A brilliant close by hotel is The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch, and Sellar Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Fulford Cave Campground is a great local campground.

month of July you get the most rain around here; February meanwhile is the driest month.
Just can't get enough of the Sawatch Range. Ski Cooper is a wonderful local ski area, and going for a hike along the Sawyer Lake Trail will
let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Lake Creek, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Beaver Creek is relatively near. Lakes are pleasant;
Nast E Lake is a lake that's near Sellar Lake, and Sellar Park is right here at Sellar Lake.
The Sawatch Range scenery is always beautiful. There are some perfect whitewater spots on Fryingpan River, and while you're here you
will meet lots of folks from close by Edwards. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly keen on lakes, Diemer Lake is one of those nearby; Sellar Lake is right by the Last Chance Trail.

Beautiful drive up to Lede Reservoir. We started in Eagle and took Sylvan Lake road all the way past the lake and then took a right at the first intersection. After climbing up and around the peak in front of us we were upon some huge rolling meadows that were among the forrests. A slight drop down into the valley on the west side of the mountains and a left turn lead us to the reservoir. It is a great spot with some fishing paths around the water and a number of campsites as well. We continued west to Gypsum Creek Road and a short drive back to the town of Gypsum.... |
