Swimming and Jumping off rocks is not allowed at Seaman Reservoir. Signs were posted about 3 weeks ago. (submitted April 4th, 2011) Says Chad
I lived at Seaman's Reservoir in 1974 and maintained it. I then also work at the Bellevue plant, I'll download some of my pictures and send them somtime. Back then the capacity was 4,330 A.F. Says Jim DePauw
Seaman Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Front Range. This lake is so wonderful. A day
of fishing at Angler's Roost Fly Fishing CO is always a perfect idea; a journey to Lory State Park is a good idea. North Fork Cache La Poudre River is a wonderful place to visit; Obenchain Draw is another splendid place to have a look at close by.
Jim, I am a huge fan of this lake and how beautiful it is. Did you work for the DOW? I have had great luck fishing there, lovely camping weather and have enjoyed many hikes to the inlet. I have a few pictures of the lake when it was pretty full. Do you know where I can get information on why it was drained? Was it because of the construction of Glade Reservoir?
