If you are traveling by, why not stop by Scout Lake. At Scout Lake through the days of summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are usually in the 40's. All through the winter the highs are mostly in the 30's while Scout Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Animas River, and Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel is a splendid place to get some rest. A lake nearby is Potato Lake, and here at Scout

| | Lake you can catch a sight of Potato Hill.
That right there is heaps already, but it continues; Scout Lake has it all. A pleasant trip to Purgatory Flat is a great way to spend an afternoon, and the Circle Trail offers hiking at its best. Scout Lake is pretty dry usually; most of the rain falls all through August while June is mostly the driest month. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan Mountains.

to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody close by loves skiing at Silverton. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Scout Lake has to offer, you can camp at Purgatory Campground. Just can't get enough of the San
Juan Mountains. Don't forget to take a great little spree to Lime Creek, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Deer Park Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Scout Lake is a splendid spot to camp, Lime Creek Campground is
a splendid spot; hiking is a popular thing to do around Scout Lake; Highline Trail is a pleasant local trail. And that's not all the things you can do here in the San Juan Mountains. After a long day outdoors Cascade Village is a
good place to spend a night or two, and if you come at the right time of year, Lime Creek offers some brilliant whitewater.
