Sand Creek is a brilliant local stream, and why not spend some time golfing at a nearby golf course like Sterling Country Club. Camping at Schumans Lake is great fun, Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park is a great local campground, and a pleasant nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Sterling. During the warm months at Schumans Lake temperatures are usually in the 90's. Summer night lows sink down to the 50's. The       cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's, and night lows through the winter for Schumans Lake tend to be in the 10's. If you're going to Schumans Lake from Sterling, you won't be the only one.
