This lake is so wonderful. Some of the water nearby flows, like Johnson Creek; there are some good whitewater spots on Kannah Creek. Man, is there heaps of exciting things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. All our national parks are great sites to go to, and Colorado National       Monument is no exception, and lakes are such calm places, why not explore King Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There are other locations here than Schrader Reservoir, for example G H and S Reservoir Number 2. There's so much to do here at Schrader Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Divide Forks Campground is a wonderful spot for that. Through the warm days of summer at Schrader Reservoir highs are commonly in the 90's. Summer night                  lows descend down to the 60's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Schrader Reservoir. At Schrader Reservoir you don’t see much precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is generally the driest month. Schrader Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a wonderful time here at Schrader Reservoir. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Colorado River; there's great hiking along the Gill Creek Trail. At Aubert Dam close to Schrader Reservoir there are some interesting things to see. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Schrader Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Hay Press Campground. Now, you may think that's plenty but there's even more exciting stuff to do here at Schrader Reservoir. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Schrader Reservoir; Ute Canal Trail is a good local trail, and people from Grand Junction love to come here. So many entertaining things to do here in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains, too great to be true.
