There's just no way someone can get bored here at Schlegel Lake. Not far from Schlegel Lake, you'll discover Castle Creek Ponds                  which is a picturesque lake, and here at Schlegel Lake you can see Castle Peak. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Schlegel Lake you can take a hike along the Cache Creek Access Trail, and if you need a site to stay Comfort Inn Vail Valley is a great choice. A delightful place for whitewater paddling in the vicinity of Schlegel Lake is Colorado River, and River Dance RV Resort is a splendid local campground. This lake is so wonderful.
