An afternoon playing golf at Breckenridge Golf Club is always a pleasure, and you can go for a hike on the Burro Trail. The skiing at Crested Butte is nice, and a good close by hotel is Saddlewood by ResortQuest. Cucumber Creek is a pretty stream that is worth taking a look at, and camping is available at Tiger Run Resort. You'll meet a lot of folks from Silverthorne here. This lake is       so wonderful. A delightful location for whitewater paddling close to Sawmill Reservoir is Arkansas River; don't leave Sawmill Reservoir without first going for a hike along the Wheeler Trail. Just can't get enough of Sawmill Reservoir. Do take a look at Goose Pasture Tarn near Sawmill Reservoir, it's a striking lake, and why not camp at Gold Pan Campground if you're here at Sawmill Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. There's fine hiking along the Miners Creek                  Trail, and get your heart pumping on the magnificent whitewater of Tenmile Creek. Lower Crystal Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out, and if you need a spot to stay Los Pinos by ResortQuest is a great choice. Through the warmest time of the year here at Sawmill Reservoir, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's, and all through summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the-10's to Sawmill Reservoir. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Sawmill Reservoir, so little time. At Sawmill Reservoir you can see Barney Ford Hill, and a tremendous spot nearby is Carter Gulch. Breckenridge is a wonderful local ski area; you don’t have to go far from Sawmill Reservoir to observe the water at Sawmill Dam.
