The beauty of Sawmill Lake attracts many people from all around. You'll truly wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Park Range. Hit the slopes at Steamboat close at hand, and going for a hike on the Divide Trail is always a tremendous adventure. Near Sawmill Lake you find the Percy Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Howelsen Hill. This lake is so wonderful. While

Sawmill Lake is generally a pretty dehydrated place; the month with most of the snow is December, and August on the other hand is the driest. for whitewater paddling is Elk River. And that's not all you can do here at Sawmill Lake. There is a pleasant hiking trail in the vicinity of Sawmill Lake called the Newcomb Creek Trail, and some close by water includes Sawmill Creek.
Summertime highs at Sawmill Lake typically tend to be in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Sawmill Lake
are in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Hidden Lakes Campground is a wonderful site to camp; if you need a site to stay Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a great choice. This lake is located
in the wonderful Park Range.
Grizzly Creek Campground is a great local campground; Stambaugh Dam is stunning.
