If you are in Archuleta county it's always a good idea to stop by Sappington Reservoir. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Blanco River Trail is always a fine adventure; why not camp at Acres Green RV Park since you're here at Sappington Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Twin Lakes, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Pagosa Springs, Co. This is no site for

| | people who don’t like to have a good time. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Wolf Creek, and there are splendid spots to explore along the Leche Creek Trail. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Rio Blanco; Best Western Jicarilla Inn is a pleasant location to get some rest. in the 80's to Sappington Reservoir. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Sappington Reservoir are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful.
Camping is available at Blanco River Campground, and at Sappington Dam near Sappington Reservoir there are some attention-grabbing things to see. And that's not all the things you can do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Go
for a hike on the V Rock Trail, and why not take a little spree to Spence Creek since you're here. Sappington Reservoir is pretty arid commonly; August is the month that gets the most rain while June is the month with the least
amount of precipitation. You could also take a look at Spiler Lake if you're here at Sappington Reservoir; it's close by; Navajo River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby.
