This lake is located in the wonderful Front Range. Throughout the summertime at Sapphire Lake temperatures are usually in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's while Sapphire Lake nighttime low temperatures all through the winter are in the 0's. So much fun stuff in the Front Range, just remarkable. Sapphire Lake is brilliant       enough to spend more than a day at, Springdale Campground is a brilliant local campground; there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Balanced Rock Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool stuff in the Front Range. Dry warm beds await you at Country Lodge, and if you haven’t been to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, you ought to schedule some time for it while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay The Cliff                  House Hotel at Pikes Peak is a wonderful choice; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Schubarth Trail. Leo Lake is a nearby lake that you could stop by, and there's some out of the ordinary stuff to make out at Aspen Lake Dam near Sapphire Lake. That right there is a load already, but it continues; Sapphire Lake has it all. The Stanley Canyon Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Sapphire Lake; if you get bored of Sapphire Lake you could also stop at nearby Grace Lake. Rainbow Gulch is a brilliant spot to spend some time at; a nice site to camp here at Sapphire Lake is Promontory Campground. This lake is so wonderful. There are plenty of people from Colorado Springs here at Sapphire Lake; golf can be played at Shining Mountain Golf Club.
