Get your pulse rate up on the good whitewater of       Elk River. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Buck Mountain is easily observed from Sanchez Lakes, and there's glorious hiking along the West Fork Trail. Camping at Hinman Campground is always a magnificent experience, and don't leave Sanchez Lakes without first going for a hike along the Gem Lake Trail.
