If you're a golfer then a good nearby course is Challenger Golf Club, and a great location to camp here at San Isabel Lake is North Crestone Campground. This lake is so wonderful. Summer at San Isabel Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's commonly in the 40's. Highs throughout the winter are commonly in the 30's, and nighttime lows through the winter for       San Isabel Lake tend to be in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Everybody loves Groundhog Basin, and there are great places to explore along the Loop Trail. A great close by hotel is AppleLodge Bed And Breakfast, and why not camp at Lake Creek Campground while you're here at San Isabel Lake. All year is a perfect time in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains if you love the outdoors. San Isabel Lake is not the only spot close by, Rito Alto Lake is a close by                  lake; a good spot nearby is Hermit Pass. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining things in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Going for a hike on the Hermit Lake Trail is always a great adventure, as expected you could also pop by Horseshoe Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. Eureka Mountain is uncomplicated to spot from San Isabel Lake, and close by you come across the Rito Alto Trail which is a perfect hiking trail. San Isabel Lake is located in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains.
