If you are traveling by, why not stop by Salmon Lake. Near Salmon Lake you find the Lily Pad Lake Trail which is a great hiking trail, and get dripping wet paddling on Blue River. Summertime highs at Salmon Lake frequently tend to be in the 70's. Summer overnight lows sink down to the 40's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Salmon Lake dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights. This lake is so wonderful.

| | The Wheeler Dillion Trail is a tremendous hiking trail close to Salmon Lake; a brilliant spot to camp here at Salmon Lake is Blue River Campground. If the weather is gorgeous, you obtain a wonderful sight of Red Peak from Salmon Lake; why not head up to Copper Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. Raven Golf Club at Three Peaks is a delightful golf course close by. Lakes? Sure, Willow Lakes is nearby. So much enjoyable stuff to do here in the Park Range, | |

too great to be true. Going for a hike on the Mesa-Cortina Trail is always a great adventure, and there are other places here than Salmon Lake, for example Gore Lake. This lake is one of the great places here in the Park Range.
Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do in the Park Range. This is a popular site for people from Silverthorne, and dry warm beds await you at Snowshoe Motel. Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more amusing stuff
to do here at Salmon Lake. After a long day outdoors Silverthorne Days Inn is a great spot to spend a night or two; whitewater paddling is great on Tenmile Creek. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place. This lake is so
wonderful. Why not camp at Boulder Creek Campground since you're here at Salmon Lake, and a day on the slopes of Breckenridge is just what you need. Around Salmon Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the
year is ordinarily July, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
