There's some flowing water nearby, Bernardino Creek is a stream you can go to while here; do take a hike on the Bernal Trail. High temperatures at Salazar Number 2 Reservoir through the summer months are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 40's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Salazar Number 2 Reservoir       are in the-10's. So much amusing stuff to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, not sufficient time. There's so much to do here at Salazar Number 2 Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Potato Patch Campground is a perfect place for that, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Eldora. At Salazar Number 2 Reservoir you don’t see much rain; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is when it's the driest.                  Salazar Number 2 Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Sure, Strawberry Lake is close at hand. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. This lake is so wonderful.
