You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things at Sable Lake. Mirror Lake is a great lake in close proximity to Sable Lake; you can go for a hike on the Fayville Trail. Sable Point is a nice location to pop by while in the vicinity, and paddling on White River       - South Fork is so much fun. A lovely lake like Shamrock Lake in close proximity to Sable Lake is a nice place to visit, and whitewater paddling is magnificent on White River - North Fork. This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Deadhorse Creek is a stream you can go to during your stay. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Sable Lake get into the 80's. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the                  40's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 20's, and overnight lows in the 0's for Sable Lake. This lake is so wonderful. There is a good hiking trail in the vicinity of Sable Lake called the Oyster Lake Trail, and if you came to camp Marvine Creek Campground is a wonderful spot to do that. A good nearby hotel is Americas Best Value Inn - Glenwood Springs, and Wild Cow Park is a glorious location.
