High temperatures at Russell Lake all through the months of summer are in the 80's while nighttime lows are generally in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's; overnight lows during the winter for Russell Lake tend to be in the-10's. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant tour to South Valley is a brilliant way to spend an afternoon; going for a hike along the West Peak       Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Eldora are so inviting noone can resist, and if the weather is pleasant, you can go for a hike along the Apishapa Trail. Russell Lake gets very little precipitation; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and the driest month is January. So much amusing stuff close to Russell Lake, clearly mind-blowing. Very perfect water scenery                  is available at Russell Dam near Russell Lake; close by you come across great sites like Deadman Canyon. This lake is located in the wonderful Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Man, is there a load of enjoyable things to do in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Why not stop at nearby Crooked Creek if you're here at Russell Lake, and the Pete Hills casts its shadow over Russell Lake. So much entertaining stuff to do here in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains, too great to be true. Why not camp at Potato Patch Campground since you're here at Russell Lake, and unsurprisingly, this is a good vicinity for folks who like lakes, Russell Reservoir is a lake around here. Pete Hills can be seen from Russell Lake, and dry warm beds await you at Rio Cucharas Inn And Restaurant.
