It is very dried up here at Ruby Lake regularly; of all the months in a year July is the one with the most rain; the driest of the months is February. Breckenridge is a nice local ski area; don't leave Ruby Lake without first going for a hike along the Wheeler Dillion Trail. There's good hiking along the Lily Pad Lake Trail, and after a long day outdoors Silverthorne Days Inn is a magnificent       spot to spend a night or two. Summertime highs at Ruby Lake mostly tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ruby Lake. And that's not all you can do here at Ruby Lake. Why not camp at Boulder Creek Campground since you're here at Ruby Lake; why not spend some time golfing at a close by golf course like Raven Golf Club                  at Three Peaks. If you come at the right time of year, Tenmile Creek offers some great whitewater; if you need a place to stay Snowshoe Motel is a wonderful choice. And that's not all there is to do here in the Park Range. Camping is available at Blue River Campground; the vista of Red Peak is lovely. This lake is so wonderful. A lake nearby is Salmon Lake; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ruby Lake; Mesa-Cortina Trail is a good local trail. So much entertaining stuff in the Park Range, just mind-blowing. You could also take a look at Willow Lakes while you're here at Ruby Lake; it's close by, and lots of people from Silverthorne come here. That right there is lots already, but it keeps on going; Ruby Lake has it all. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Blue River, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Copper Mountain is pretty near.
