Very pretty scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Kendall Mountain; the view of Animas Mountain is picturesque. Ruby Lake is pretty dried up generally; August is the wettest month with most rain; June is when it's the driest. Through the warm days of summer, highs regularly are in the 70's at Ruby Lake with night lows in the 40's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's       overnight here at Ruby Lake. While you're here at Ruby Lake it's a good idea to go to New York Basin, and Ruby Lake is right by the Deer Park Trail. A nice nearby hotel is Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel, and Turret Needles is an attention-grabbing place to visit while at Ruby Lake. So much cool stuff in the neighborhood of Ruby Lake, absolutely striking. If you come at the right time of year, Lime Creek offers some great whitewater; why not take a                  refreshing hike along the Whitehead Trail. Gotta ski! Silverton is a great location to do that, and you're almost certainly hooked on lakes, Garfield Lake is one of those close by. Yep, outdoors cool things to do are in fact plentiful here at Ruby Lake. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Having a delightful time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains is uncomplicated. Ruby Lake is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lime Creek Campground is a great local campground. Lakes are splendid; Webb Lake is a lake that's in the vicinity of Ruby Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a delightful location to get some rest; hiking along the Brooklyn Trail is delightful fun. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors cool things the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has to offer.
