Many people like to go to Ruby Lake. At Ruby Lake you don’t see much rainfall; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. Silver Summit RV Park And Jeep Rentals is a great campground here, and there is a wonderful hiking trail close by called the Whitehead Trail. All the outdoors entertaining stuff in the San Juan Mountains will keep you coming back many times. Going for a hike on the Brooklyn

| | Trail is always a perfect adventure, and Silverton has nice slopes and a friendly staff.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at Kendall Mountain around here, and nearby you come across the Deer Park Trail which is a good hiking trail. Throughout the days of summer highs here at Ruby Lake reach the 70's while night lows are regularly in the 40's. Highs during the winter are usually in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Ruby Lake. | |

Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the San Juan Mountains. You can run the rapids of Lime Creek in the vicinity of Ruby Lake; do set aside some time for New York Basin if you're here at Ruby Lake.

to enjoy this spot. A fine close by hotel is Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel, and Animas Mountain is beautiful and can be distinguished from here. This lake is so wonderful. Interesting geology is available here; Turret Needles
is in close proximity to Ruby Lake, and camping at Ruby Lake is splendid fun, Lime Creek Campground is a splendid local campground. Ruby Lake is a beautiful lake in the San Juan Mountains.
If you need a place to stay Cascade Village is a good choice, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Animas River.
