You must definitely stop by Overlook Point while you're here at Ruby Lake. There's so much to do here at Ruby Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Bear Creek Campground is a brilliant spot for that. If you need a location to stay Purgatory Lodge by Durango Mountain Resorts is a glorious choice; hiking is a popular thing to do around Ruby Lake; Highline Trail is a great local trail. Having a wonderful time at Ruby Lake is trouble-free.       Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more amusing things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Get wet paddling on Canyon Creek, and if you came to camp Transfer Park Campground is a great place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby lakes? Sure, Pear Lake is close to Ruby Lake; dry warm beds await you at Purgatory Village Condominium Hotel. The San Juan and Jemez Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Everybody close by loves                  skiing at Silverton, and paddling on Animas River is so much fun.
