Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Ruby Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway is always a nice adventure. Ruby Lake is regularly       a quite arid spot; July is the month that gets the most rain, and June on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There is a perfect hiking trail right next door to Ruby Lake called the Fern Creek Stock Driveway, and Ruby Lake is not the only location nearby, Fuchs Reservoir is a nearby lake. Go for a hike on the Middle Creek Stock Driveway, and Ruby Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Road Canyon Campground is a good site                  to camp nearby. Ruby Lake is one of the lakes here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. After a long day outdoors Fairfield Pagosa Resort is a nice place to spend a night or two, and some of the water nearby flows, like Quartz Creek. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Ruby Lake is great! A lake nearby is Big Ruby Reservoir; you can stay the night at River Hill Campground. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
