Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Ruby Lake get into the 70's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 30's. All through the winter highs are in the 20's while Ruby Lake overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the-10's. And if that's not enough there's a load more exciting stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Going for a hike on the Long Ridge Stock Driveway is always a nice adventure. There is a perfect hiking trail right next door to Ruby Lake called the Fern Creek Stock Driveway, and Ruby Lake is not the only location nearby, Fuchs Reservoir is a nearby lake. Go for a hike on the Middle Creek Stock Driveway, and Ruby Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Road Canyon Campground is a good site | |

Creek. Whohoo, so many enjoyable things in one place! Ruby Lake is great! A lake nearby is Big Ruby Reservoir; you can stay the night at River Hill Campground. Just can't get enough of the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Whitewater paddling is pleasant on Rio Grande, and Big Ruby Dam has splendid water scenery.
