Ruby Lake is always a pleasure to visit. Throughout the days of summer at Ruby Lake temperatures are commonly in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 30's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Ruby Lake are in the 0's. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Berthoud Pass; whitewater paddling is brilliant on Willow Creek. If you came to camp Winding River Resort is a magnificent place to do that, and delightful hiking is available along the Bowen Trail. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun stuff at Ruby Lake. There's so much to do here at Ruby Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Teller City Campground is a tremendous | |

spot for that, and dry warm beds await you at Bighorn Lodge.
This lake is so wonderful. Blue Lake is a fine lake in the vicinity of Ruby Lake, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at SolVista while you're here.
There's pleasant hiking along the Mineral Point Trail, and paddling on Cache La Poudre River is so much fun. Not much rain falls here at Ruby Lake; the wettest month of the year is usually May, that's the one that rains the most while
January is typically the driest month.
While staying at Ruby Lake you could always explore Bowen Pass, and you obtain a good panorama of Bowen Mountain from here.
