Round Park Reservoir is right by the Moore Mesa Trail; perfect water scenery is available at Twin Lakes Dam near Round Park Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Cottonwood Basin while you're here at Round Park Reservoir; Round Park Reservoir is good enough to spend more than a day at, Smokehouse Campground       is a good local campground. Round Park Reservoir is located in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. All year is a perfect time in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains if you adore the outdoors. San Miguel River has a great whitewater paddling spot close by; one of the major highlights of the surroundings of Round Park Reservoir is 25 Mesa. Whohoo, so much cool stuff in one place! Round Park Reservoir rules! Why not take a refreshing hike along the Monitor Mesa                  Trail, and a lake nearby is Big Monitor Reservoir Number 1. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at T Bone Spring Campground is always a tremendous experience, and there are plenty of people from Montrose here at Round Park Reservoir. The Cottonwood Trail offers hiking at its best, and Round Park Reservoir is not the only location nearby, Middle Monitor Reservoir is a nearby lake. Round Park Reservoir is a location that is relatively dry usually; the wettest month of the year is ordinarily August, that's the one that rains the most, and June is when it's the driest. If you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Escalante Creek, and Best Western Sundance is a perfect location to get some rest. Summer at Round Park Reservoir arrives with high temperatures in the 90's. During the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 60's.
