    Round Park Reservoir is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit San Juan River; you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Fourmile Stock Trail. Man, is there loads of entertaining stuff to do near Round Park Reservoir. A round of golf at nearby Pagosa Springs Golf Club is a magnificent way to kill some time; going for a hike along the Piedra Stock Trail will let you absorb  
   the natural beauty of this area. Camping is available at Turkey Springs Campground.
Dutton Creek flows through this vicinity, and Town Center Dam is a spot that is next to Round Park Reservoir. Through the warm days of summer highs here at Round Park Reservoir get into the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 40's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows throughout the winter for Round Park Reservoir tend to be in the 0's.
 
               Round Park Reservoir gets very little rainfall; most of the rain falls through August, and June is the month with the least moisture.
That right there is heaps of entertaining things already but it goes on, the San Juan and Jemez Mountains has it all. If you need a location to stay Econo Lodge Pagosa Springs is a great choice, and a fine place to camp here at Round Park Reservoir is Happy Camper RV Park. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Fairfield Pagosa Resort, and if the weather is nice, you can go for a hike along the Martinez Creek Trail. Lakes? Sure, Newt Jack Spring Reservoir is in the vicinity, and Stevens Draw is definitely a nice location to go to.
Be careful coming to the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, you might not ever wanna go home again. The skiing at Wolf Creek is good, and Gopher Reservoir is a good lake close by. This lake is located in the wonderful San Juan and Jemez Mountains.

I am a guide on the San Juan here and wanted to correct the info about this run. The put in is behind a place called malt shoppe and the Lat/Long of it is: 37. 269902°, -107. 001559°

The take out after Mesa Canyon is where Trujillo Rd gets close to the river on R Left @ 37. 125988°, -107. 051072°

These are the closest Public put in & take out to the Lat/Long given on the site. Happy Raftin!...
