Throughout the months of summer here at Round Lake, high temperatures ordinarily get into the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 40's. Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's while Round Lake night low temperatures all through the wintertime are in the-10's. A great place       to camp here at Round Lake is Base Campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Elk River offers some great whitewater. Round Lake is located in the Park Range. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are tremendous; Little Lost Lake is a lake that's near Round Lake, and let's not forget Butcherknife Creek which is a stream that you may run into while here. It is very dry here at Round Lake generally; of all the months in a year December is the one with                  the most snow, and the driest month of the year is August. So many entertaining things to do in the Park Range, not enough time. Not far from Round Lake, you'll stumble on Lake Percy which is a pretty lake, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Elk River. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Scandinavian Lodge and Condominiums is a splendid spot to spend a night or two; Round Lake is right by the Fish Creek Falls Trail. The smiling folks of Edwards like to hang out close by, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Round Lake; Percy Lake Trail is a splendid local trail. Any time is a great time at Round Lake if you like the outdoors. Winterwood Townhomes is a great spot to get some rest. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Park Range. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Steamboat since you're here, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Divide Trail. This spot rules, just explore all the entertaining stuff to do right next door to Round Lake.
