The James Peak Lake Trail is a wonderful hiking trail next to Rogers Peak Lake; the vista of Mount Bancroft is beautiful. That right there is loads already, but it goes on; Rogers Peak Lake has it all. Do go to Clayton Lake near Rogers Peak Lake, it's a stunning lake, and if you came to camp Spruce Lodge Campground is a good site to do that. A brilliant location to stop by near Rogers       Peak Lake is Riflesight Notch, and get covered with water paddling on Clear Creek - West Fork. Around Rogers Peak Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Boulder Creek, and close by you locate the King Lake Trail which is a delightful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is glorious                  here at Rogers Peak Lake, you can go for a hike along the South Boulder Creek Trail, and Berthoud Pass is a glorious local ski area. A great close by hotel is Zephyr Mountain Lodge, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Winter Park is reasonably near. And that's not all you can do here at Rogers Peak Lake. Why not stop by Ice Lake Dam if you're here, and a pretty lake like Heart Lake is a glorious site to stop at. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Iron Horse Resort is a delightful choice. There's so much to do here at Rogers Peak Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Midland Campground is a great site for that. All through the long summer days at Rogers Peak Lake highs are generally in the 70's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's.
