The yearly precipitation here at Rocky Basin is about average; most of the rain falls through August; June is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Keyah Grande Resort is a good choice. At Rocky Basin through the long summer days highs are in the 70's, and the overnight is a little colder of course, usually in the 30's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and overnight lows in the-10's for Rocky Basin.

wonderful. The top of Grassy Point is easily seen from Rocky Basin; you can go for a hike on the Middle Mountain Trail. Now, you may assume that's a heap but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
Paddling on Vallecito Creek is so much fun, and Moon Lake is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. And if that's not enough there's a heap more entertaining stuff to do in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains. Near Rocky Basin
you locate Bear Trap Canyon which is a wonderful place to check out, and if you came to camp Five Branches Camper Park is a wonderful site to do that. This lake is one of the great places here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains.
Get soaked paddling on Piedra River, and going for a hike on the Devil Mountain Trail is always a perfect adventure.
