Paddling on San Juan River - East Fork is so much fun; you can have a good hiking adventure along the Treasure Mountain Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Sheep Mountain is clearly visible from Rock Lakes, and you'll hit upon a lovely lake called Spruce Lake Number 1. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Windy Pass Trail is splendid fun, and the skiing at Wolf Creek is magnificent. All year is a great time in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains if you love

| | the outdoors. Wolf Creek has a wonderful whitewater paddling spot nearby, and Holiday Inn Express PAGOSA SPRINGS is a fine location to get some rest. So many fun things to do here in the San Juan and Jemez Mountains, too good to be true. Don't forget to take a nice little journey to Camp Creek; Park Creek Campground is a good local campground. Lakes, high temperatures commonly get into the 70's, and during summer nights temperatures are in the 30's. For the period of the wintertime highs are generally in the 20's, and night lows in the-10's for Rock Lakes. But wait, there's

Opal Lake
 | 18 miles away I was raised near this lake and when a child we had to pack horses into this lake. It is not near any campgrounds, and it's over 25 miles to town, not 18. It gets way colder than 0 in the winter but the views are almost correct. It IS beautiful!... |
