These mountains rock, just look at all the cool stuff to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. Thorne Lake is a splendid lake near Rock Lake, and a short spree to Ingram Falls is always worthwhile. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Silverton is just what you need, and since you're here at Rock Lake it's a nice idea to pop by Imogene Basin. This lake is so wonderful. to stay Camel's Garden is a glorious choice, and the Greyhound Pack Trail offers hiking at its best. Yeah, come here to Rock Lake for a great time. Here at Rock Lake you can make out Ajax Peak, and why not head up to Telluride and
strap some skis to your feet. Visit Imogene Creek since you're here at Rock Lake, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Weehawken Pack Trail. Man, is there loads of exciting things to do in the Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains.
At Rock Lake you don’t see much rainfall; most of the rain falls throughout July; June is when it's the driest. For the period of the warm days of summer, highs mostly are in the 80's at Rock Lake; the nighttime is rather cooler
of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Rock Lake drop into the 10's.
