Paddling on Boulder Creek - South is so much fun, and don't leave Rock Flats Lake without first going for a hike along the Bear Peak Trail. Francis Smart Dam is an interesting thing to check out, and you can go for a hike on the Mesa Trail. So much fun stuff close to Rock Flats Lake, just inspiring. Stay the night at Clear Creek RV Park, and Boulder Creek - South has a magnificent whitewater paddling spot nearby. This lake is       one of the great places here in the Front Range. Not much precipitation falls here at Rock Flats Lake; May is the month that gets the most rain while January is the month with the least amount of precipitation. And if that's not sufficient there's a heap more cool things to do in the Front Range. If you're stopping by Rock Flats Lake from Boulder, you won't be the only one, and Golden Gate is a good campground nearby. At Rock Flats Lake all through the days                  of summer highs are in the 80's while overnight lows are mostly in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Rock Flats Lake. Now, you may feel that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here in the Front Range. A lake nearby is Francis Smart Reservoir, and dry warm beds await you at Oakwood at Stonegate. This lake is so wonderful. A delightful location like Rocky Flats here at Rock Flats Lake is too glorious to miss, and Rock Flats Lake is not the only location nearby, Ralston Reservoir is a nearby lake.
