Road Reservoir is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Going for a hike along the Horsefly Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood, and after a long day outdoors Back Narrows Inn is a good location to spend a night or two. Nearby lakes? Sure, Dead Horse Reservoir is near Road Reservoir; there's whitewater on San Miguel River for all you adrenaline rush seekers. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Uncompahgre

typically; the wettest month of the year is commonly July, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest of the months is February. Now, you may imagine that's a heap but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Road Reservoir.
While you're here at Road Reservoir you can take a hike along the Cottonwood Trail, and camping at Road Reservoir is great fun, Iron Spring Campground is a great local campground.
Road Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the
Uncompahgre Plateau Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Summertime highs at Road Reservoir commonly tend to be in the 80's, and the nighttime is slightly chillier of course, ordinarily in the 40's. The winter brings highs down to
the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Road Reservoir.
This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Antone Spring Campground is a great place to camp; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend San Miguel River.
