Road Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. The peak of Flat Top Mountain can be observed from Road Lake; Road Lake is not the only place close by, Solitary Lake is a close by lake. Any time is a good time at Road Lake if you love the outdoors. Whitewater paddling is magnificent on Sweetwater Creek; do take a hike on the High Trail. If you need a location to stay Holiday Inn Express Eagle, Co is a delightful choice; a visit to Stump Park revives

This lake is so wonderful. Sweetwater Lake Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and Road Lake is right by the South Derby Trail. Summer at Road Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 40's. Throughout the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's, and overnight lows at Road Lake all through the wintertime frequently fall into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Get covered with water paddling on Colorado River. Road Lake is generally a reasonably waterless place; most of the snow falls
all through March while June is generally the driest month. Road Lake is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Bucks Campground is a fine place to camp nearby; why not take a refreshing hike along the Ute Trail.

It is very nice to fish from a boat or bank, but I prefer boat....Wife and I where fishing Stagecoach, then we heard of Yamcolo, it was about 20 mins out of Yampa. We came around the corner of the earthen dam side, looked down the fish where jumpin all over the place grabbed the poles and it was off to the rodoe,15 fish as fast as we could 45min past sorry did not have camera going back this year in couple of weeks can't wait New Castle Colo, Apple Tree Park... |
